Prep to Finish 2013 Student Workshop Series Keeps on Rolling!

Part two of our ongoing BTC Workshop Series features Todd Pudvar leading the students through ceiling spray and backroll training using Graco air assisted spray technology, and spraying Benjamin Moore waterborne ceiling paint.

With a particular emphasis on how spraying finish coats differs in product and process from the drywall spray and backroll techniques that the students learned in their previous Prep to Finish Drywall Prep and Prime Workshop. Todd made connections back to how the prep and prime sequence impacts the finish process, in terms of what to look for during the “lay down” process of the final finish coats. (See video above).

In upcoming segments with BTC, the students will learn how to prep and finish trim, and how to cut and roll final coats of color on the walls of the home they have built. There is much enthusiasm around the BTC program right now, and their nearly completed project.

In the meantime, the BTC gang will be coming to our shop on tuesday, March 19, for further exploration of the professional painting industry. Stay tuned for updates.
