P2F Wraps #543tour at CTE Essex

Prep to Finish wrapped up its successful 2015 #543tour by returning to the Center for Technology at Essex for a day of site based door spraying with Jim Gilmartin and his students.

The CTE program once again was at the tail end of finishing a new 1800 sf home. Todd and Scott showed the group how to set up a spray area in the basement of the home. Todd walked the students through the waterborne paint product and air assisted airless spray technology, while Scott ran through safe and efficient spraying techniques for best results on doors.

Students then worked in pairs with coaching from both Todd and Scott for hands on learning of air assisted door spraying.

Learning skills included: pace, distance from target, hose management, sighting down wet finish, use of inspection lights, tip sizes and spray pattern evaluation.

P2F had previously worked with the CTE program during the 2013 season. Here is a link to the highlights from that workshop.
